Time to Fill in Plymouth

Random question - due to train and ferry times not being very coordinated, I've got several hours to fill in Plymouth on a Tuesday evening and a Sunday morning (7am-10am). Any tips on places to hang around (or visit) which are nicer the the station/ferry terminal? Any cafes open early on Sunday which I can sit outside with the fully laden tourer?

If the fireworks are on then that is fantastic timing - walk up to the Hoe (quiet!) and enjoy! They are fantastic fun!

Sunday - hmm not so much, could have a poke around the barbican but it will very definitely be the cleanup from the night before
