    Guten Morgen

Today I'm heading off towards london, that is if i ever find the car keys, i need to be there fairly shortly... so obviously i've come on here to get a break from searching for them? If anyone has any suggestions as to where they might be then shout up.

If i ever get going I should be working later, then getting drunk this evening, should be a good day :D

Anyway i'm off to check the bike shed

    Good Morning Freaks!

Toay, I shall mostly be making sacrifices to the weather Gods!

Also going to get my ear syringed so I can hear again...
  • Had a bug a few weeks ago, anyway last night was up with the chronic shites and stabbing pains all over the stomach area - still got it... contacted work to say I shall be in late as I dare not leave the house the way my guts are playing up....

Sitting here waiting for it to all pass (if it does) I have already lost a weeks work because of this bug and the fecking remnants it has left me...

In happier news, I fitted the Vs to the dale last night (forgot what a nightmare they can be to set up CORRECTLY) plus cassette and front mech, all needed now is pedals and gear cables woop! Also KMC chain and Joplin should be here this week to finish the Cotic

    Morning all!

Well, today my boss is in a bad mood becasue she went to the chairopracter last night for her neck and they have broken her a bit, she started ranting as soon as I walked in the door. Therefore I can't ask her anything today due to said bad mood, so I will just have to skive more

I'm still wound up about my Easyjet fail, they are so going to get it for this!

However successful snowboarding sesson last night, nollie to tail butter 270 out in the bag hehe. Climbing this evening..

Oh and T minus 2 days til I am back on the bike!

    Morning all,

Off today, which shall be mainly spent building the OH's bike. Waiting for work to phone to say that the forks have been delivered there, then will go grab them and start.

Apart from that, i have a selection of bottled beers to sample this evening, which I've been looking forward to!

Just noticed it's gone Bacon Sarnie O'clock!

    Greetings mortals,

P¡ssing with rain here, however the Met Office tells me Cannock will clear up from 11AM
So, do I stand out in the rain like a plonker fitting the roof carrier and bike? I am still undecided and time ticks by..
Another busy day today, I want MizzBint's job where I can skive and access BR from work.
Our corporate network is very tied down and we're privileged to access BBC news!

Anyway, let me load the bike up.. I am so going to play in the mud after work.. :D
  • Morning peeps!

Today I will hopefully be selling the 456 frame, headset, BB, post and clamp and my ergon grips which will be replaced with other assorted shiny things.

In the office today, but when I get home tonight, there should be some shiny things waiting for me.

Also looking for a joplin remote kit, as the one I ordered on CRC is actually out of stock :(

I see Evans have one at £35, but they also want £5 postage to IOM. everywhere else that has it in stock seems to want around £40. CRC say they'll have them back in stock in around 3 weeks, so I may just wait tbh.

Having slept the sleep of the sleepy last night I've only just got to work, which is still early, but an hour and a half late for me.

Today should again be free of meh and arggghhhhh, although I'm now having second thoughts on the ragley, I'm not sure the 18 will be big enough for my 6ft 3 frame or that the testing terrain of suffolk, norfolk and essex warrant a bike this beefy.

Well, today just got a whole lot worse...

Couldn't get a Dr's appointment until tomorrow morning, so I'm still deaf. You may all have to speak up a bit today. Then I get in the Cakemobile, turn the key in the ignition and click. No engine sounds, just click. Then the alarm starts bleeping. Dead battery methinks. :(

So I took the train into Cardiff - actually rather pleasant as it was after 09:00 so wasn't crowded.

Get to work and they're digging up the road outside. Unfortunately, I can hear this and it's making my head hurt.

I need coffee and I need pie and I need them now...

    Morning all,

Semi awesome ride in this morning. I think every time it looks like I’m going to do a good time into work I get shazammed by the last few sets of lights and it all goes to pot. Apparently I’m going to get rather wet on the way home, according to the Beeb.

Last night’s viewing pleasure(?) was Reign of Fire, worth it purely to see Matthew McConaughey get gobbled up by a dragon. Now if only that would happen to him in all his films, especially his dire Rom-Coms.

Offspring woke me up at half 6 this morning, again. Slowly getting not funny anymore. Would I be a bad parent if I taught a 2 year old how to get up and turn the TV on himself to keep himself amused? I could then move onto him making me a coffee before coming and waking me?

    Is it 5 yet?

  • Well, today isn't that good a start for me.

Last night I went for a run, which was good, cleared stress, felt good and wasted a little time. What is bad though, is that I have eczema on my eyes (well, around my eyes), and I think the cut grass from the run affected my hayfever. As a result, I ended up rubbing my eye all evening, and it swelled up like a balloon :(

This morning, it has got a bit better, but still looks like I've come out of the boxing ring worse off than the opponent. Everyone is giving me strange looks (well, stranger than normal).

I missed the train into Leeds too. No problem, the next one is in 15 minutes.
Announcement "The 08:14 service is delayed 11 minutes". Great Announcement "The 08:14 service is delayed 17 minutes" Seriously, WTF!? Announcement "The train arriving at platform 2 is the 08:28 service"

How the flib does a train overtake another train!?
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Today is going well, I've fixed the rather noisy and annoying ratlle in the forks. Collateral damage was a plain lazy T which bore the full brunt of an oily squit out of an ETA cartridge.

I'm hoping stuff will be dlivered today or tomorrow for the weekend and that I can get some kit shopping done.

    Afternoon All!

Today I'm feeling pretty good, had a great ride last night at Leith Hill - went with some guys who had some really good local knowledge and rode some awesome trails off the beaten track. Unfortunately I had a bit of stack on "Deliverence" and skinned my forearm and elbow again - I think I'm going to end up with more scar then arm!

The foot nut at the base of the rebound stanchion was loose, when tightening the nut there is nothing for the internals to hold against so as you spin the ratched and nut, the internals spin as well.

I spoke to dave who confirmed I hadn't missed something out/ lost something expensive and important. Got it tight eventualy via a bit of friction griping.

Well, my day just turned a little “meh”. My mobile has decided to commit suicide, 1 month before I’m due my upgrade.

Pulled it out of my pocket and the screen has gone all crazy, 1 half looks like space invaders and the other looks like a Banksey. Tried turning it off and on and all that but no joy. It won’t receive calls either.

I think it must’ve heard me talking about upgrading and decided “F you!”. My Pug did the same last year when I was looking to replace it, popped it’s head gasket in 1 final “bite me” moment.

I’m guessing 17 months into my contract O2 will show no interest in helping me fix the phone?

Hopefully I’ve got an old 1 somewhere I can use for now.

    Big hairy cock balls.

I have a fully custom and incredibly expensive and intricate tool for exactly this problem.

It's a stick with some rubber superglued on the end of it.

Today is full of bleh. For some reason, I absolutely couldn't sleep last night. I was awake until about 5:30, then decided to watch some stuff on the iPlayer, then finally went to sleep about 6, until 11. This naturally destroyed my plans to go for a ride this morning. In a while I'm going into Birmingham to meet some old friends from college, where I shall stay for an indeterminate amount of time. We haven't seen each other in a couple of years, it will either be brilliant or horrific.

If you were planning to renew with them anyway, you may as well give them a ring to see if they'll let you renew your contract and upgrade early. Can't hurt to try.

Welllllllllllllllll, I just got back from Scottishland. Popped up on Monday, did Mabie (Review: Meh. Not enough down compared to up. The fun down bits involved too much pedalling to go fast to have enough oomph to get up the uphill bits), then ate nice food and crashed early. Yesterday morning, did Dalbeattie (Review: ORSUM IN EVERY WAY, SHAPE AND FORM!!!) then had a swift change of t-shirt and sarnie and went to Kirroughtree (Review: Rather lots of fun, especially the swoopy rocky bits). Food, sleep, drive back this morning.

Altogether knackering but lots of fun :D

I love stanes. Stanes be good.

Man, I was knackered after two in one day. I'm not made for that. Was too much fun not to put effort into though.

The night before leaving to drive up, we spent about 3 hours playing on dirt jumps and a little down-lump (not a hill) course in Sherwood. That was a giggle. I got off the ground more than once.
