n+1 (new bike) help needed.....

I have decided that I need another bike. Since I started using my old Dawes Horizon for the commute, I've gone off the idea of using the Orange MTB for commuting. But the downtube shifter worked triple on the Dawes isn't really ideal for my commute and I'd like a cheapish modern bike to cover for my beloved Look on damp sportive events!
But, too many potential options which I need to narrow down.
A) Bike
1) Frame. I am a bit long in the leg. Really what I want is a 'square' sportive framed bike like my Look - effective top tube = 546, virtual top tube to BB = 550, headtube = 172. So TT almost equals seatpost. Most frames seem more like 570 with that height of seatpost. Plenty of expensive frames of that sort of dimension but not cheaper ones (eg available built up at around £800). Orbeas seem closer than most to me. Open minded-ish to frame brand.
2) Components. Got to be Campag. Shimano hoods are too long and too ugly (IMO!) for any drop bar bike I own however good they may be.

1) Bike to work. I want a new helmet, new rack for the Dawes, Carradice panniers and a Hope 1 light. All these I could get as part of a C2W purchase leaving £800ish for the bike. Best value probably and simplest route but finding the bike, with campag, and the shop with the bits as well could be an issue.
2) Self build. Makes sourcing the Campagnolo easier but struggling to identify a cheap, sportive oriented frame. It would need to be well under £200 to match the C2W budget. I’d go a bit higher though for this route but second hand frames often seem to be over-priced at the cheaper end or not much more expensive but far too nice for what I want; I don’t want something I get too precious about!
Really mainly need pointers to the frame to start with – I’m struggling to find much or anything to kick my search off!
Thanks in advance! (prolly forgot to mention a few things but if I dn't post this now I never will.....)

I thought you couldn't get bike bits on c2w now ?0

Think you can get bike bits, but you have to buy a bike to go with them. Have you tried Condor? They do various frames and offer Campag as an option, available on Halfords Cycle to Work scheme and I imagine others too.0

Thanks for the suggestions - not thought of Condor so I'll have a look see. As for Bob Jackson, now that might work if they'll sell me some of a bike on C2W........
I'll have to ask!
More please anyway!Faster than a tent.......0
