so are they really next day?
I ordered the tyres 10:30pm last night and paid £7.99 for next day 1pm delivery, shall we take bets on whether they will turn up?
schwalbe nobby nic 2.25 evo snakeskin and racing ralph Are the tyres in question

I've had a bunch of tyres from Steve and he always processes and despatches literally within hours. Ordered in the morning, despatched before lunch and on my bike the next day.
But if you ordered at 10:30 last night you ain't gonna get them today :P0 -
I think that may be pushing the limits of next day delivery a little bit to be honest.
They do say on the site "Any orders received after 4pm GMT or during the weekend will normally be despatched the following working day." Meaning that you're paying for delivery before 1pm on weds.
Generally though, if you order at a reasonable time. Yes, they are next day.Great prices too.0 -
I suspect they will be here tomorrow then0

oh well, we live life hoping. would have been majorly impressed if they did turn up today.0

Good tyres BTW. I find the new Nics are more supple than the old ones and they're a bit lighter. The fact they fit on either way round is a bonus.0

Thank, I wasn't really sure what to go for, I wanted a decent set that are quick for the summer but are still ok if it gets a little boggy (english weather) and this seems to be a good combo. Do you run them both running the same direction?0 -
The 2010 Nics are non-directional but I think Ralphs are still directional. I have a Rocket Ron on the back and even though the wear rate is alarming, it grips like a grippy thing with good grip on a grippy day (jn the dry) and yet still rolls very fast. There are some cuts in the carcass but it hasn't punctured.
Nic F and Ralph R is a great all-round combo.0 -
okay thank.
does anyone recommend any ultra light tubes? (might as well save some g's there)? currently have a halfords one up front (got for free) and a continental tube out back.0 -
Schwalbe's 1.5-2.5 tubes are 180g and are a great compromise between weight & reliability. And they have clear valve caps 8)0

next day tyres are just awesome.
Got my new minion today after ordering it midday yesterday. They despatched in about half hour. I'd save you money on the delivery and just order in the morning on free delivery.0 -
i ordered at 4pm and had them by 9am the next day so no compliants from me0

arrived today 10:30
pleased but nobby nics are a full 35g heavier than claimed! Racing ralphs are same as claimed.0 -
A small clod of mud weighs 35 g
So your Nic weighs 575 g? IIRC my 2.25 Nic was 550 g on the trusty kitchen scales, the 2.25 Ron was 480 g. Either Schwalbe's QC is pants or my scales are shot0 -
yer I know just wanted to point it out
Ive got the 2.25 Nobby Nic Evo Snakeskin whats claimed weight is 575g but actually (kitchen scales weighed 5 times) 610g and my racing ralph is the claimed 520g0 -
610 g is not too shabby for a SS Nic. My OE Nics (EVO, triple compound etc but not SS) weighed in at 600 g0

I think the look of them make up for the +35g ...
