Like sheeps, I'm due a phone upgrade. I've been waiting for this, as much as I love my 5800, it's getting on a bit, and I like shiny new toys.

There are two phones I'm interested in, the Nokia X6 and the HTC Desire. I want to know how much they'll cost to upgrade to (I'm on a cheap contract, but should be able to get them to waive the upgrade fee if it's not too much, or substantially reduce it at least). Unfortunately, Orange are out of stock, of both of them. Arse.

can you not go to the Caerphone Wheerhouse (other cellphone retailers are available)? I'm sure they do upgrades too, sometimes at better prices, worth a butchers though

Tried them last time I was due an upgrade. Because I've been with Orange for years, I'm on a really good loyalty bonus, so they can't even get close to the tariff I'm on.

My missus has an HTC desire.

I've an iPhone 3. But which is best? There's only one way to find out!!

Seriously though, the HTC does everything pretty much that an iPhone does. It's massively personalisable if your into your wallpapers and colour schemes etc.

Speed wise - varies really, we both sit there like saddos and see who can load FB or eBay quickest. Sometimes mine is quicker, sometimes hers. Exciting life we lead.

The only things I don't like about the HTC

screen - iPhone screen is scratch resistant pretty much
the htc looks like it will mark up should it come accross a set of keys

iTunes store - the htc equivalent has pretty much all the app you could every rub yourself silly over however, most of them are priced in dollars. No GBP.

Think that's about it for now!

I've just got the Samsung Galaxy S from Orange.

Great phone, great screen in the sun and a great camera.

    Take a look

I don't have anything to do with Orange or Samsung BTW

£25 a month for unlimited texts isn't a great deal, especially when you have to buy the phone...

I got my HTC hero from some random online place, £20 a month with unlimited internet and texts and 600 minutes :D

It always pays to spend ages looking for stuff.
