Where to go in Liverpool?

Righto, so, the worst organised stag do in the world is in Liverpool this weekend. We're all old and clapped out so no craziness, just a load of sitting in the pub... And to this end, I need a bit of advice on
1) A variety of good pubs in the city centre, good atmosphere but not rammed with kids
2) A good pool hall where we won't get glassed
3) A casino
4) Just possibly a strip club
5) GO KARTING! For saturday
Any suggestions?

Liverpool is blessed with some cracking pubs, hopefully you like good beer (real ale)?
Off the top of my head (most of these pubs are around Hardman Street near the City Centre).
Ye Cracke
The Pilgrim
The Everyman cafe
The Philharmonic (a must if you appreciate ornate bars / architecture)
Roscoe Head
The Swan inn (bikers bar, but worth a visit)
There are many many more, and you won't have any trouble in these pubs.
There are also lots of meat market type pubs, and curiously some pubs in the middle (good beer and ale, plus eye candy).0 -
the pilgrim= one of the best pubs ever, i love it in there.
the everyman cafe = see above
the phil= go to the crappers, seriously, go and have a look in the crappers, they are spectacular
the swan= outstanding. i love it in there
also find peter cavanaghs, its coolio too.
the jacaranda is busy but good
pogues is a cool irish diddly diddly pub
alma de cuba is pricey as hell but awesome for somewhere stylish
also, the albert dock is full of well nice bars.0 -
there is a casino in the direction of kings dock. looks nice enough form the outside
as for strip clubs: angels is well regarded but ive never been so i probably shouldnt really reccomend it.
make a point of going to the pubs listed above though.0 -
Hope you bring your Harry Enfield Calm down wigs.
Theres loads of boozers in town. Best ones already been mentioned
The Pilgrims not as mad this time of year with the students gone.
Theres one over the road from it, john lennons old boozer, Ye Cracke
The Everyman more like a tea room than a bar but nice to chil out in
The Swan - even if you're the only one inthere its a cracking pub....especially with a pint of REd Eric. Best jukebox ever....aprt from the old picket
On Hardman street.
Hannahs bar - they have like a mezzanine and you can lookout the liverpool an dthe bombed out church.
The flute n firkin.
The Phil - you must go there
Roscoe Head - Nice selection of real ales, small and great place to start the night
Round the corner is The Metropolitan
Over the road from that a great Irish bar Pogues.
as mentioned ALma da cuba...really pricey but built in an old church.
theres a pub on the dock road called the Baltic, it makes its own beer, has no music or tv's its class. My fave pub ever.
Couple of nice boozers down dale street too: The ship and Mitre, The vernon,
and not far from these is aphrodites (the nudey place) with a dodgy pub next door called The Croc.
To end a boss night though try and go to Flannagans in Mathew Street.
Wherever you go dude have a great time.
Oh and theres a Casino in queens square, not far from dr duncans, which is also good for a pint and chat.
Oh and theres a new snooker/pool hall just by Lime street station round the corner from the adelphi.
There is another colled the 147 and that not far from the jacaranda. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns

Yet you live in Sheffield? The irony is astounding..0

Liverpool is a great place, but any threads about it always get dragged down with people who for some reason have an axe to grind.
Enjoy your night out and let us know how it went0 -
