Just wanted to know if anyone rides along the A47 between Acle and Great Yarmouth and if they do, what's it like during rush hour?

  • Flat and windy.

The alternative is to go via Fleggburgh and Rollsby, roads would be quieter, but it is the long way round

Haven't done it, but would imagine it's a bit scary. Are there any back ways through the broads?

Its scary, I'd plump for the backroads TBH, then you'd still have to contend with the acle straight.....

Looking at google maps, Acle->Stokesby->West End->Caister might be an option rather than fleggburgh
  • Have ridden via Fleggburg and Rollsby and it's not great. Not very wide, bit twist and cars and lorries blasting along at 60+ Part of me thinks at least on the A47 they can see me from miles off. Looking at the garmin connect web site someone from round here seems to ride along it.

    Thanks for the posts btw
