If the one you have is still working I would just keep it.I hsve had one on a bike for 12 years now - just grease them every so often and they are fine. Bearings are dead cheap to replace.

looked in the FAQs or on parktools for headset info?

once you know the type. Standard or internal/zerostack or possibly but unlikely integrated then any will do.

Hi bud, yeah it works but i had a squeak on it so i striped it down and the bottom bearings where rusty so i cleaned them up and re greased them but when you lift the front end and turn the bars you can feel them not gritty but you can almost feel the bearings move if that makes sense is that how they are as i never did that before i stripped them.

Buy some stainless bearings, loose, and fill the whole cup and remove two.

But if you want to replace, the FAQ as nick says shows the common standards.

So they are cartridge bearings? Or in a cage like this? (though your cage will be wider and more balls)

I have run FSA and they are a great headset....I don't suppose you have used a dreaded pressure washer ? If you cannot replace the bearings as Nick and SS have suggested, it depends on your budget...you can spend as little as £20 and upto £120 plus for a Chris King or Crank Bro's

Easy to replace then. Just need to know the size of the individual bearings (5/32 for this one), and buy a bag of the same size. You don't need the cage - just put the bearings directly in the cup. Fill the cup, and remove two. Job done. Like this:

If wanting stainless, you pay a bit more.

    Cheap easy fix
