I just got back from my Sunday afternoon ride and i couldn't unclip my left foot.
I had to take my shoe off.
From the looks of it the bolts have come loose to there is too much movement for the twist release.
I can't get an allen key in undo the bolts.
Any ideas from you lovely people?

Mental Note: Learn not to panic.
I fixed it. A bolt had fallen off on the last 1/2 mile of my journey.
I unscrewed the remaining bolt by twisting the shoe.
I the twisted the cleat out using some pliers.
Now i just need to find a new bolt! Only bought my pedals and shoes on thursday =(
Mental note 2: Learn to tighten bolts properly!0 -
and after the first few rides, tighten them again
on my mtb shoes it takes a few weeks for things to settle, takes a while for the serrations on the back of the cleat to dig into the sole, so as they do it loosens a bitmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -

I found that when I first used SPD's, its to do with the angle of your foot, my solution was to twist the ankle in towards the bike, an surprisingly it unclipped uber fast. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
