Hi there,
New to this forum and am looking at spending a modest amount of money on an oldish road bike, hopefully getting a decent level of quality for not too much money.
I am quite interested in this Merlin- ebay item no: 150472012031.
The owner doesn't know too much about it over and above what is said in the listing.
Has anyone knowledgable have any views as to the wisdon of this buy, assuming the price doesn't go up to silly levels?

Yes, that's why I'm interested.
I don't know what tubing it is- its going to be steel but what I cannot find out. There doesn't seem to be much about merlin bikes on the web but they seem to have been a decent maker?0 -
As far as I recall, Merlin bikes are from Bob Jackson. It will be a good bike for sure.
