new chain and front chainwheel fitted

Have just fitted a new front chain wheel set and chain to my Giant rock and it now feels as if the chain is jumping on the rear cassette but only on the lower gears
should I have changed that as well? it is not as old as the front was

    if it is worn then yes.

    also make sure it is clean.

    Thanks have had a good look at it and double checked and gone and bought a new cassette and it is perfect
