No, seeing them prepare you a steak pie dinner after you've been away on the bike with your mates all day is worth the hassle!0

Am I the only one waiting for another "the wife texted me" thread, except from Joe this time?0 -
My missus is totally cool, she's just glad to get me out of the house.
I spent ages going over the conversation I was going to have with her about buying a new bike a couple of weeks ago, but I got as far as "I fancy a new bike" and explained how I was going to pay for it before she turned to me and said "If you really want it, just buy it"
I've never loved her more.0 -
and now you have 1. less space in your garage 2. another bike to maintain 3. a good excuse not to be in the house and 4. a new bike.
man - you have everything!!0 -
Hey, she met me when I was 14, I skidded to a halt next to her on my Redline RL20 Prostyler, so she clearly knew what she was getting into!0

That's a familiar phrase! I've applied it to bike stuff, windsurf stuff, music, boat stuff, ... hmmm, lots of stuff!
The other good line is...
Ah, yes, new to me, but not actually new! As it happens my mate "Jimmy" has just upgraded from XT to XTR,* and this is his old stuff. IT was his spare, but now he has the XT... (Fit in as much technical jargon, especially numbers, codes and acronyms needed here to ensure that the eyes start to cloud over with boredom...) So anyway, this was going spare, so he gave it to me...Proved by testing to be faster than a badger.

To be fair they're both legit worries!!
A good pair of padded shorts and a decent saddle will sort out the first one, and unless she's riding hours every day the second one won't matterLife is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away....
Riding a gorgeous ano orange Turner Burner!
