Daft question about height adjustment on suspension

So I was thinking to myself the other day: height adjustable front forks are quite common, where you can change between two set travel lengths. So why can't they/don't they do height adjustable rear shocks? (that doesn't include changing the sag btw).
There must be an obvious answer but I couldn't think of it. Help relieve me of my thickness...

They do, but it's built into the frame, rather than the shock.0

Cause a rear shock only moves and inch or 2, so it would ruin the sag and stuff, probably.
As Chedabob said, its much easier to put it in the frame, which also would adjust the geometry accordingly.
Heres a good example, Marin's Tara system, takes as long as a U-turn system and allows infinite adjustment too.
And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

That looks ridiculously complicated, and if it leaked everything would go really wrong. And now you know, and knowing is half the battle
