Hi

Looking for a hardtrail mountain bike .

Posted a similar topic a year or so ago but back problems have put me back a little

I am mid 40s age wise and looking to get back in to biking .Looking to do some cross country hard trail along with bridleways woodland tracks etc Won’t be doing any extreme off road stuff .
Budget wise £400-600 ish

Would appreciate advice as to best value for money, along with any other advice

Cheers

Jim

shame you have no replies but I think your post title puts people off by being too open!

At the lower of those prices ranges people on here normally recommend the Carrera Fury as a great place to start, although i've not ridden one myself.

Beware bikes which look the part but are not all they seem - all that glitters etc! Some of teh big name brands are as guilty as anyone for delivering poor value for money at the lower end of the market

That seems to be a pretty good deal. Certainly cheap and pretty solid component wise. I'd always look for older models discounted so this seems to fit the bill.
