Will a fsa gap crank fit a shimano/hope bottom bracket?

    My gravity light FSA crank won't fit a Hope BB, I emailed Hope about it and this is the reply I got. Dunno if this applies to your crank or not.


    "Hello Mike,unfortunately they are not compatable as we use a direct contact from the axle to the bearing.FSA use a plastic shim in there bottom bracket bearing that compresses when the axle is pushed through which there axle is ever so slightly larger in diameter than all other chainset manufacturer's therefore making it really tight,sometimes impossible to fit the axle through therefore making them incompatable.

    also note that FSA list many different BB cups for their cranks and these are identified by colour.
