just thought i would let you know, for no particular reason.
my boss has one and i had to fix the ridiculous work halford did on it when changing the bb from my old trance x1 which he now owns onto his new orange.
its a very nice bike indeed and much better looking in the flesh than i had given them credit for.
just thought you should know how i feel, for no particular reason.

I've just illustrated one of your quotes0 -
I think the best quote comes from my dear old Mum when she clapped eyes on the 5 in my garden. She went: "Is that it? Looks a bit cheaply made".

The Orange Five is overrated. There are some much more efficient designs out there. True, the shock helps when it has a low speed platform, but you're never going to get the bob as low as using a good multi pivot design.0

But if the virtual pivot point of a full sus design is in the same place as the main pivot on a single pivot design... then they behave exactly the same when pedaling...
The 5 actually pedals quite well in some gears.0 -
It might pedal well in the middle chainring with a low sprocket due to the pivot being fairly low, but it must bob like feck in the granny ring!0

What this kind of single pivot does not cope with very well are square edged hits.0 -
