Looking for a fun and helpful way to exercise? Personal Trainer Walking tracks users' progress and makes going for a walk a little more fun. Simply place the Activity Meter in your pocket or bag (or attach it to your belt with the included Activity Meter Clip Connector) and carry it around with you as you go about your daily routine. Once the data has been transferred, you can see the results on your Nintendo DS.

    From another webiste...
I often read reports or commentaries on long distance walks which talk about ‘the inevitable blisters’. In my experience, there is nothing at all ‘inevitable’ about them, and the long distance walker should not be troubled by them. So, here are some tips to help you avoid them. This is adapted from an article that first appeared in Strider, the journal of the Long Distance Walkers Association.

Walking poles can be extended and retracted as necessary for use. One-piece poles are proven to be safer and more durable. Their maximum length is usually 54 inches. Some poles come with spring-loaded sections to aid walking under normal conditions and to reduce wrist strain, but such devices may only add unwanted weight and noise to the poles.

Some walkers have complained that pole use leaves a visible impact on the surrounding trail, poking visible holes in the ground and damaging adjacent vegetation. Walkers should not only be aware of what they put their poles into, they should use rubber tips to avoid scratch marks on rocks.

Just walked along the seafront into town with the wife for some dinner, ate and decided to walk home rather than catching the bus. All in all a very enjoyable walk with the wife.

God damn - this is the funniest thing I've seen all day. Starts off mildly amusing but quickly gets funnier and funnier. Can't wait to get the blokes at work on it tomorrow  May ask if any have done the lime trick - sounds very similar to bacon fishing!

    Dog Walking Work

Become a dog walker and earn money from walking dogs or looking after them in your home or the owners house and where to find dog walking work and pet sitting jobs:

This is a great job for anyone who loves animals and especially dogs. You get paid to do something that is relaxing, great fun and you meet some wonderful canine friends. By working as a dog walker you will get fit and can get paid to go for some great walks in the beach, park, woodlands and around the streets.

    WALKING WITH FAMILY

One of the best ways to add fun to your walking routine is by walking with family. Like walking buddies, family members can boost your motivation -- they may be even better than friends at nudging your conscience to keep you in the swing of things when you'd just as soon take a day off or give up altogether.

One pleasant ritual you may want to introduce your family to is a relaxing evening amble in the twilight. Be sure to wait awhile after dinner, however, especially for a brisk walk. It's best to avoid strenuous exercise for at least two hours after eating.

I like watching my Granny walk. She walks in a very funny way. Sometimes she even borrows my Grandad's crutch to walk with.
