Average weight saving from tube to tubeless?

So... given the same cassette and tyre (tubed), what would be a typical weight saving between normal wheel and proper tubeless wheel and tyre? Take the rear wheel...

Many types of tubless set up - some don't save that much, if any. UST uses heavier tyres, so no real saving there. A ghetto set up depends on hpw much sealant you use.
Typically 50-100g savings per wheel if using standard weight tubes.0 -
I saved something like 30 grams per wheel going from light-but-good tubes to Stans tubeless rims with tape and valve. I added weight per wheel when I was using BMX tubes though.Uncompromising extremist0

Well, which are these 'light-but-good' tubes? My On One Inbred and Com Meta 5.5.1:

this.
a rim strip is about 50g and tyre milk is about 50g for a ust type setup, plenty more if converting regular non tubeless type tyres
a tube can weigh about 200g so maybe a saving of 100 g per wheel.
however, converting regular tyres is such a faff in my experience, i wouldnt thnk that weight saving was worth it. the puncture protection though is deffo worth it, big sticks.0 -
im currently running ust rims with 2.5 tyres and DH tubes, soon i will go to 2.35 Specialized XC/AM tyres, run tubless with sealent, this will drop about 200g per wheel i hope....!I like bikes and stuff0

nah...
But that's because of the tyres. If you kept the same tyre, lost the tube and added sealant then it wouldn't be a great difference.0 -
Still waitin' for that 'light-but-good' tubes suggestion.... :roll:My On One Inbred and Com Meta 5.5.1:

sorry to ask a question on your thread but though it would be better to ask a tyre related question in here
I have tubeless tyres on my lefty, apart from the little weight saving what pros and cons do they have over tubed if any, also my current ones seem to pass on any impact even as small as dismounting a curb straight to the wheel even without locked forks, could this be a problem or is this just me not filling them with enough air?0 -

terribly sorry I didn't instantly reply to your post :? Schwalbe XXlights are my recommendation, they're just like normal tubes only thin. You'd expect them to be fragile but I had them stretched out to 2.35 and they still performed absolutely fine, no more flats than you'd expect from a 250g trail tube.Uncompromising extremist0 -
Thanks, I better check them out!My On One Inbred and Com Meta 5.5.1:
