Specialized 2D helmet via crash replacement

Hiya,
I been in touch with Specialized re their crash replacement for helmets, and they have offered me a 2D helmet for £60. Is that good? From what I gather, the 2D is discontinued, so wondering if £60 is really a good price. They have offered to replace my existing helmet for £24 which was an Echelon, but is the 2D worth the extra £36?

Same thing happened to me last year....
Think I had to pay £50 for the 2D in silver...
I always got the feeling though that the "new" helmet was not quiet up to their usual high standards - i.e. the finish didn't look perfect so wondering if it was a few they didn't sent out to shops...
Lovely helmet though ...0
