How to INSTALL FSA COMPRESSOR PLUG?

Can anyone tell me how to fit this? I cannot get the ring to expand & lock in the steerer! Thanks

    Unscrew the top cap to access a 6mm Allen key fitting - tighten it slightly such that it's a just sliding fit into the fork steerer - may be worth holding steerer horizontal to stop it dropping dow - tighten Allen key when in position - don't be tempted to overtighten as you could split the steerer. Fit the top cap and adjust headset as usual.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
