Having a look on Blackberry app world the other day and came across this app. Endomondo works with all sorts of smartphones

Tracks your route via the GPS in your smartphone and its free.

I used to draw my routes on Google maps but now this app uploads them and shows gradients etc. Saves me loads of time, as I couldnt justify a Garmin just yet. Only used it once but so far so good. The only thing is, dont think the distance measurement is 100% accurate, but hey it is free.

Have a look, I have no connections with this company but just thought it something fellow cyclist's might find useful.

This is the sports tracker right? I've just downloaded it - it seems identical to cyclemetre to me.

What I'm looking for is the ability to plot a map on my laptop (presumably but not essentially on googlemaps), then transfer it to my iPhone. The other thing I'd like is to find out before I do the ride what the gradients are. Can anyone help?

Mtivnen- have a play around on here, http://wtp2.appspot.com/wheresthepath.htm, if you set it up with one map, (google map is best as it plots on roads only) then use the route feature, it has a height profile button which I find good for finding gradients before a ride
  • I've been using MyTracks on my HTC Desire, works well enough for me.
