Well after the farce of yesterday, today so far has been ace.

My work this morning involved a 2 hour inspection of the beach from Aldeburgh to Thorpness.

Now it's back to proper work!

Inspection of a beach?

do you just have to write down "yes this is still a beach" every 5 yards?

Has the beach ever not been a beach? What happens then?!

almost, check for litter and any damage, but there's never much on a deserted shingle beach at 7am.

Where are my stabilisers?

I used to clean 2 beaches everyday during the summer, it was great fun ... Only spoilt by ghetto tourists leaving dirty nappies and the odd bit of, um, rubber :shock:

Found a dead sheep once, which somebody had decided to cover with rocks instead of informing the council! Luckily I never found a human body - that was my biggest fear, especially knowing that there was a "lost" one out there.

I once went down to pembrokeshire, and i went to one of those pick your own sheep farms (for meat I hasten to add) I carried it someway across the beach but it was too heavy, so I weighed it down with rocks to stop it blowing away, when I came back someone had had my sheep away
