Just picked up one of these for the wife but the Sturney Archer hub has become disconnected from the cable somehow. Anyone know anything about how to fix these or how it should be connected?

    Certainly, the old ones had a 'cable anchorage' which was a barrel adjuster and a nut and bolt to hold the cable. You clamped the cable with the nut and bolt and the barrel adjuster screwed on to the threaded rod coming from the wee chain coming out of the hub (indicator coupling).

    cheers.. It's the chain coming out of the hub that's broken.. nice one :D
