For once it's not a Highroller/Nevegal shootout!

Instead i need to pick the tyre colour for my new road bike, courtesy of cyclescheme, but I don't want to ask the wierd commuters or the arrogant roadies!

So, to go with this:

Which colour out of these:
VITTTYRR355_1_zoom.jpg
Black/Blue/Honey/Lime/
Orange/Red/White/Yellow

Surely red, white or black. I've got a choice of black, blue, white, red or yellow for the bar tape too.

Everything else component wise: drivetrain, wheels, saddle, bars etc will be black with the odd hint of silver.

you and your white supremacy Gaz!

I thought white might end up grubby, red might turn pink. But it's a road bike, you don't ride them when it's wet, right? So white might be a good'un!

yep, I once got beaten up by some black guys who thought I was in the K.K.K. They had misunderstood me telling a girl that I was a wizard under the sheets :D:D

Yeah, I think white on bikes goes a good grubby too, i hate immaculate bikes

TBH, with that, I'd go with black. That said, if you're using it for commuting, you'll pretty much soon be changing them for Continental Gatorskinz...

Apparently they have some puncture protection. But I am wondering just how much that is. Seeing as there's a thread in the commuting forum about how someone got a puncture, but it was his own fault for riding on some stones!? :?

TBF, I've got the black ones on the TT bike (which is a Ribble) and *touches wood* I've not had any punctures yet. That said, I run them at 120psi.

As to the Gatorskins, I'm on my 4th set and have only ever had one puncture in the 6 years I've been commuting and that was from a amll piece of copper electrical wire that a contractor had left on the floor in the bike shed at work.
