Hi chaps,
looking for more advice. My Eldest daughter (7 years old) has now expressed a wish to camp. To be honest i am pretty buzzed by this as i have been trying to get my wife camping for years with no luck so now i have a reason.
The question is pretty straight forward. Can anyone recommend a campsite within an hour or so of Cardiff that also has some nice safe cycling for me and more importantly my daughter.
I must stress that she is not experienced on cycling on roads so decent bike paths / lanes are a must.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Meurig.

How about the family cycle trail in the forest of dean at Coleford. Have done this quite a few times with my children. They rode under their own steam from around age 7. It is virtually all off road but on gravel/tarmac tracks as opposed to majorly stony tracks. The loop is around 10 miles (I think) but a detour to go ape was also interesting, especially if it was when the Llamas were being taken for a walk - did never work out where them came from.

There is also camping at Coleford - Christchurch and Bracelands camp sites . I have never stayed on these sites, but they are ran by the Forestry Commission.
