picked up a btwin sport1 yesterday, my first bike for about 20 years... it'll initially be taking me 5.5 miles each way to the station (epping), but hopefully once i get into the swing of things, i'll be able to go further into London on it.

Got it home and checked it over, handlebars needed centering a little better, front wheel slightly out of line with bars, both front and rear brakes needed adjusting - lever would come back to the bar without any effort. But all seems ok now, so i've strapped a D lock to the frame, water bottle, and figured pump can go in my bag!

First ride around the block, didnt fall off, didnt cause any accidents. Result! Bike turns much quicker than i expected, causing me to clip a couple of curbs. Didnt take long before i was on the big ring up front and the small ring at the back. Just gotta adjust myself to get more profficient with these STI gears!

coming soon.... grazed elbows

Bah! Couldn't get hold of one in my size a few weeks ago, but I'll contact the store again.
Was hoping to use it as a London run-around.
