    To the best of my knowledge, the designs are purely aesthetic.

    Yeah the design's not going to make a lot of difference to performance. I've got the 1st one as a 180mm on the front. Because it's a more open design it maybe stays cooler, which hardly matters in the UK, and it may also clear mud better.

    The main thing with disc rotors for me is how stiff they are. Some appear to be made of a chocolate/cheese alloy & they bend with seemingly no cause. The Superstar rotors seem fairly tough. Hope are also tough. A good cheap make is Discobrakes, not sure if they're cheaper than Superstar, they're usually a similar price.

    Can't comment on the other 2 but the 3rd is exactly what Tektro use as their standard rotor, so I've had a couple of those and they were spot on. Not light, but durable and, well, round and all that :lol:

    im always suspicious of rotors which look like the first one, i imagine they wear pads down very quickly. i might just be paranoid though

    Seems to be OK, but I don't seem to wear pads like some.
