Campag compatibility

I am currently building a bike. Will a campag chorus 11 front mech work on a bike that is being set up for a 10 speed. It's just they are selling the 11 speed shifter for less than the 10 and I can't see why it wont work as the distance moved is surely done by the levers. Whether a10 speed chain will fit I am not sure.

10 speed chain width is 5.9mm

11 speed is 5.5mm

i dont reckon half a millimetre is going to make much difference
