Has anyone taken advantage of the "free" recovery+energy box+cervelo water bottle.?

Yep - well worth it IMO.

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

I tried their freebies and then spent $25 plus shipping on the worst tasting sports drink I have ever had. It was the Watermelon flavor. I sent the company an Email complaining, which is something I have never done, and have not been answered back.

seen that in PC every month and not done anything about it - just ordered it you cant really complain about a water bottle, 2 energy bars, 2 energy gels and some other sh!t for £5

I wasn't complaining about the freebies. I actually enjoyed the samples they sent. The quality of the free items were a lot better than the sport drink mix I purchased afterward. I felt like it was the old bait and switch routine.

hence i have no intention of changing from my favorite sports drinks already (lucozade or SIS orange) and bars (tesco flapjack)

Pfft have to pay 5 quid for P&P, that ain't free! that's just as bad as BidTV Saying 'ooo this stuffed toy is ONLY 2.99!' with the 7.99 postage hidden in the top left hand corner. Yeah I seen it!

Go for it... £5 is not a bad price for a decent bottle alone, and you get a couple of bars, drinks, vitamins and a gel for the money. Personally I think that the Zipvit energy drinks are minging but everything else in the box was good, especially the bars which are lovely. For comparison, the SIS trial pack is nearly twice the price.

I liked everything in the box. The gels are the best working I've tried (bit thick tho) and the drinks always gove me a bit of a kick, haven't got round to buying any yet tho, maybe next month.

It's still not bad for 5 quid, I've had 3 of em 8)

The bottles are a load of crap tho.

I love everything in the box apart from the bottle and recovery drink, looks like I've just shat into a bowl of water and it was all runny due to diarrhoea.

On occasion. It's never a conscious decision, tend to be channel hopping and there it is, some lump of crap you can buy from a Poundshop going at only 2.99! I'm surprised people actually fall for it.

I've had two sachets of zipvit energy drink - the first one I was sure was off it tasted that bad. Then I got the second one and it was the same. How the feck do people drink that stuff? The rest of the stuff in the 'free' box is good though.

Maybe they kept sending you stuff that was off? I liked it.
  • Its not bad for a fiver. The protein bars, snack bars, gels, and bottle just about make the pack worth it.

As said, one of the drinks tasted like seawater. The other wasnt that bad, and the recovery drink was ok. Wouldnt switch to it, its just handy to have the bits from it.

I rate their stuff quite highly - I even bought a big tub of the lemon energy drink (BOGOF). It is not the most delicious but it seems to work for me. The bottle was pretty good quality. Worth £5 anyway.

The chocolate/orange bar was really tasty. I just got my pack last week. Bought it for the Cervelo bottle (for my Cervelo), but the bottle was actually kinda crap. :)
  • Some of it was a bit rank, the yoghurt coated bar tasted like it was dipped in salt. Ant the electrolyte drink was definitely piss. Although for a fiver the package was ok overall

  • The energy source taste's like sour cheese. not what you need on a long spin. avoid at all costs!!

I got 6 of these sets, last year!
Thought it was all very good, even if the gel was a little thick.
Bottles were good, still have them all.

Bought some of the energy drink extreme, BOGOF...

    Can't fault their stuff.

I got mine this morning too. Well impressed with the contents, going to be wary of the drink though from what others have said.

I was wondering whether theyd check credit card details but I suppose you could be ordering from another house.
