Kebab and Chips

Currently scoffing my face at the moment following my longest ride yet...what an appetite I have!
I've only recently gotten my road bike ready for a longer commute, only even ridden up to about 15 miles at a time, so I set out today thinking I'd aim for about 30 miles, ending up doing 45 miles!
I'm pretty sure I'd have struggled to go further, my legs were shaking when I finally got off my bike.
Feels good though! food tastes great too mmm

Good work - 1,000 calories, 100% of your salt allowance, and 150% of your saturated fat allowance for the day0 -

Oo I dunno I was informed at work the other day that 1 hours cycling burns about 200 calories0 -
Well done mate.
I did 30 miles on Sunday, my Cateye V2 said I'd burnt 900 calories, I'm guessing the calculation goes from the HRM. Hills were involved and my ave speed was 17mph.
If you want to balance things out, I reckon you need to get back on ya bike and do a 50 miler!
As for jealousy, I am partial to the odd kebab but I need a good few pints to forget about potential food hygiene issues. You sure it's lamb you're eating dancook???_________________________________________________

I rode an average of 17mph over 45 miles. so it took me about 158 minutes - just tried a cycling calculator tell me for my weight - 85kg - I burnt about 2657.
Another site just gave me 2,363 at 14-16mph.
I calculated 2250 as 50 cal per mile, which is what i assumed to be a pretty safe figure.
Doesn't this seem about right?
The kebab house is part restaurant, not your typical late night kebab shop. I have no regret0 -

To me its kind of seems like punching yourself in the face after doing something positive but to each their own.0 -

I know what you mean, but I'm not planning to make a habit of a kebab every time I take a 'relatively' long ride.
I'll still increase overall fitness even if I don't burn fat as quickly as I might like - though I'm not by any means overweight.0 -
