in general would you alter the shock pressures to tailor different routes, ie a bit higher for a smoother route, compaired to a proper rough outing, or would you set an forget , new to the world of fs

I would set it up how recomended and then fiddle with the pressure until I find a pressure I am happy with for certain conditions.

So yes, I would change pressure depending on course conditions

Depends on the shock. If its adjustable or pro-pedal etc just set and forget.
I've not really touched mine in 2 years.I just check the pressure periodically.
Do you have rebound/compression adjustment? If so it can take a while to get a setting that feels right.

BTW how are you getting on in general with the FS mate?
