My brother Jack is currently cycling across Europe after sailing to Calais on the 15th June 2010. He's ridden (complete with his camping gear) across Belgium via Brussels, to Amsterdam and through Hamburg, Bremen and Cologne in Germany to Copenhagen in Denmark. He then flew home to Graduate from Bath University before jetting back out to Copenhagen to resume his bike ride.
He has since ridden back to Hamburg to Berlin and Dresden where he is today. He then will continue east to Prague before cycling all the way home again.

He is raising money for a Kent/Sussex-based chairy called Canterbury Oast Trust who support adults with learning difficulties including our Aunt who has Down's Syndrome. They have looked after her for 25 years.

Now, this trip has become very important to our family as our Grandpa Ted passed away on the 28th June whilst Jack was away. Grandpa was a founder member of this chairy in the 1980s and so Jack increased his mileage from 1,800 to 2,500 as his on tribute to our grandfather.

I am sure that all the road cyclists will agree that this challenge really is hard, cycling some 60-100 miles per day, every day. Jack has had some difficult conditions in Berlin where it was abover 35 degrees and very humid. Now in Dresden it's rained solidly for 15hrs and his camping gear is wet through.

Please help support Jack and show him it's worth it by visiting the Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/jackjarrett.
