Wiltshire XC Ride Sunday 25th July...
Melksham to Heddington via Chittoe. Up the Heddington steps and across Roundway down to the golf course. Up to Morgan's hill, over the top of the hill and out (and up) to Cherhill monument. Round the monument, over to Beckhampton. Back up to the top of Morgan's hill, down to Roundway and into the woods. Singletrack through the woods, little bit of downhill, into Devizes and back to Melksham along the canal stopping at the Barge Inn for a cold one (or a room-temperature one) just before the end.
Bikehike puts the route as just under 33miles. It's 90% traffic free. It's 75% byways, tracks and tow path and a nice little bit of messing around in the woods for fun towards the end. There will be some epic climbs and some fun little downhill bits.
It's a proper endurance style cross country route
Anyone in? theres a group of around 8 from setting a scene taing part for a bit of an afternoon.

Meet at the VW garage on the edge of bowerhill industrial estate - Melksham . The plan is to meet there from 12.30 for a 1pm sharp set off time.
If you want to ride over from Chippenham and meet us, a good place is the 'S' bend on Forest lane between Melksham Forest estate and Lacock if you know the spot. We'd be there about 1.20 ish I would guess.
