bladder rubber taste

I didn't really know what forum to put this in. I bought a bladder for the c2c which I start on sunday, I used it last weekend on a 40mile cycle and the water tasted terrible, really rubbery. I had to stop at a pub and get some orange juice to put in but even that had the horrible taste. Does anyone have any idea about how to get rid of this?

Milton fluid? I use it for sterilising my camelbak when it gets really yucky, but might help take away the nasty taste?Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away....

My Camelbak tasted of plasticky-horror-death for the first few times I used it. Just keep rinsing it through thoroughly - the proper cleaning brushes, especially the long tube one, are really useful. Eventually water will taste like water!0

Keeping it in the fridge helps it stay fresh too. I just slip mine into the ice cube tray..0
