bladder rubber taste

I didn't really know what forum to put this in. I bought a bladder for the c2c which I start on sunday, I used it last weekend on a 40mile cycle and the water tasted terrible, really rubbery. I had to stop at a pub and get some orange juice to put in but even that had the horrible taste. Does anyone have any idea about how to get rid of this?

Milton fluid? I use it for sterilising my camelbak when it gets really yucky, but might help take away the nasty taste?

My Camelbak tasted of plasticky-horror-death for the first few times I used it. Just keep rinsing it through thoroughly - the proper cleaning brushes, especially the long tube one, are really useful. Eventually water will taste like water!

Keeping it in the fridge helps it stay fresh too. I just slip mine into the ice cube tray..
