I had Housing Benefit training this Afternoon. Following on from the thread about that Family that moved to a ridiculous property, ask me anything. As long as its not about folk with more than £6k in savings. Then it gets really complicated. Or go to http://www.turn2us.org.uk/
& see what you can win. Happy claiming
Will, you can get HB to pay for a room with shared facilities. You can get a flat paid for when you are 25. Google LHA direct and enter the postcode to find out how much HB will pay.

If you are feeding your cat then your cat will count as eating within a shared household. I think you'll have to declare the cat as your partner. Now, is your cat a UK citizen....?0 -

No its available to all of us, you can own a property which you let to someone else and have HB contribute to your rental liability if you cant afford it.
If you are making a profit from letting your property out then its classed as income and is taken into account.0
