Ti frame on a roof carrier

Maybe a stupid question, but I don't know a lot about Ti frames. I am giving a lift to a friend tomorrow up to the Black Mountains and she has a lovely custom Ti frame. I have a roof carrier that I happily clamp by carbon bike into. How easy is it to damage a Ti frame?

I`d be more worried about clamping carbon!!!!!!!!!!
Should have no issues with ti or any high class steel frame but always remember how thin the tubing is...more likely to hit on low bridge or car park entrance, Doh!!

And mask your headset bearings if it's raining. Rain at 70mph does an excellent job of jetwashing the grease out of your bearings !

A piece of old innertube and a zip tie will do the job nicely.

try squeezing yoiur carbom frame tubes and then her Ti frame, that will give you an answer....in a word Ti much better bet for clamping than carbon, and if worried cut open an old inner tube to go around frame tube at clamp point as this will also protect the frame
