Wiggle packaging

The latest order from Wiggle has just been delivered (nice new brakes to replace the ones I broke on Sunday!).

However, although they were delivered with Wiggle's usual efficiency, I'm again surprised at the size of the pacakge (40x25x20cm +/-) for two boxes each more or less the size of a small bag of sugar.

Basically, there was enough space in the box for six more similar sized box.

Come on guy's; cut down on the amount of packaging you use. I only gets recycled when it arrives and it would be better for all concerned if the excess wasn't sent in the first place.

Back when buy.com operated in the UK, they once sent me an invoice in a box that must have been at least 3 x 2 x 1 ft. It was for a pack of replacement PDA stylii that arrived the day before in another box that was just as big.

Wiggle only seems to have two sizes of box. Big and bigger. I'm also surprised as I figure they pay extra all the time for shipping (especially as it's 'free').

But at last you know your stuff will get to you safely.

It's just Wiggles way of telling you that you didn't order enough stuff.

Or your way of telling them they never gave you enough Haribo.

Last things I bought from Wiggle came in the not so massive box, but also had sort of air bags in as well. First I've seen them do that. Wasn't even anything fragile - just a cap and the For Goodness Shakes thing with the bottle and eight sachets.

Hmm I wonder how my new bib shorts will arrive today. All air space packed with Haribo???

I got some DHB bibs the other day but no Haribo!! Is there a minimum spend?

On the packaging issue; I bought a Joe Blow track pump and it came in a wheel box, the thing was huge and was just full of those air bag things, like bubble wrap but louder!

I spent almost £50 quid this week on a book and new jersey, it came this morning in an A4 Jiffy bag and NO F****** HARIBO. Not a happy bunny. Sort it out Wiggle.
If you buy it, they will come...

...up to you and say, you didn't want to buy one of them!!!

I bought a new lid this week and got Haribo AND a sachet of For Goodness Shake. It wasn't a cheap helmet though. Where's the ner ner ner ner ner emoticon?

I also got the sachet of "For Goodness Shake" with the Schlek type chain minder I ordered - Sachet was x5 times bigger and heavier than the chain minder!!
Would get down on the drops more if the gut wasn't in the way!
