Put some silver Welgo B54 flat pedals on my bike last night, and wow what a difference they make!! Loads of grip and a big platform for me it balance on! I dont know why I never got these earlier! I've always used DMRs V8 or V12s... But these are way way better. some may say a little heavy but nah you just get fitter!

Are they noticeably bigger than the V8s? I've been eyeing them up a while, but haven't been able to see the two pairs next to each other to judge properly.

yeah I can feel the difference, I find that on a quick down I am more confident and dont have that silly habbit of moving my feet around, but that's just me. but they do feel a more stable platform and grippy as fook!

    Great, thanks.
The reason I'm after a wider pedal is because my right knee is slightly twisted now, and my foot points slightly outwards at rest. On DMR V8s and similar, my foot slightly overhangs now, and caused a little aching.

    +1 Wellgo B54.

Did ride on mates V12s, then had my own MG1s, now using superstars ultra-mags. To date after all experience, B54s are the biggest and grippiest pedal out on the market and at £25.

The only downside to them, they are thicker than MG1 and 100gr heavier. After many rock strikes and snowy winter, bearings as smooth as cats bollz.

    It's a no brainer really.

I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though

Same situation here (cartlidge operation - not right result) although I was thinking of other pedal that is always mentioned.

i was eyeing these up as my V8`s are a thick profile, and i thought these would be slimmer to eliminate banging them on rocks etc
    It`s changed a bit since...

What other pedals were you looking at? I'd be glad of any recommendations really.
