Ideal time for BP to sponser a team and change their image, and they could dig out those old Merckx pics as well

I would say that, if judged on market cap, BSkyB are probably the biggest sponsor in cycling at the moment. They are the biggest pay TV company in Europe, and have a market cap of $18.3bn, compared to $13.3 billion for HTC. They're not yet majority owned by NewsCorp although they soon will be once Murdoch has his way! They are also multi-national, unlike many of the other sponsors.

Rabobank and Caisse D'Epargne are also very big but I believe that they are mutuals made up of many smaller companies working together, so it's difficult to get a market cap for the entire organisation. I'm not sure how well known they are outside France and the Netherlands either.
