Repairing a broken Ti frame
A few years ago, I broke my ti road frame. A crack developed at the BB / down tube weld and propagated about 4" up the downtube. I've been reluctant to bin it and I've thought about getting it repaired on and off.
I need some suggestions on repair options. Can anyone recommend a framebuilder or ti fabricator that can do something? I think it is aircraft grade 6Al/4.5V Ti alloy

See if you can find a local non-ferrous welder with experience of titanium - thin walled tubes can be tricky though. The other would be to send it to someone like EnigmaMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

A lot of Ti frame builders give a life-time warranty on frames and will replace/repair them.
My daughter managed to have her Van Nicholas crack on her and it was replaced within a week.
Who makes/made your frame ?Recipe: shave legs sparingly, rub in embrocation and drizzle with freshly squeezed baby oil.0 -
The frame was made by Massi, prob in '98. No lifetime warranty...tried that... They no longer do Ti frames. Pity as it is lovely....
That's why I'm looking for a repair. If economical0
