Why do so many former Pro Tour riders.....

..... sound drunk when they talk? Sean Kelly, Sean Yates, Stephen Roach....... heard them all on TV in this year's TDF and they all sound plastered all the time. Is it something to do with the hardships of cycling? Is it due to crashing without helmets? Did they get infused with drugs that destroyed their brains?

Sean Kelly and Stephen Roche are Irish, and every other Irishman I've known sound drunk all the while (some of them are though).
