Hi everyone,
I am getting back into mountain and i need some help so i thought i would go to the expert. i am not sur what bike to buy. I am looking at the 2010 Trek fuel ex 8 for 2400.00 New at cyclesmith or the Trek fuel ex 9 for 2200.00. The guy selling the 9 says it is only 8 months old and it looks like it was not driven much much. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Can't wait to get riding again.

Budget? (assume around 2-2.5k)
Purpose (XC/Race/AM etc)?
Bear in mind that warranties are not transferrable, so if anytihng on the 9 goes t1ts, you've no comeback....0 -
Firstly look elsewhere if your condidering the EX8 it can be bought from most of the big stores for a quid less than two grand....
You can buy a new EX9 (2009 so probably the same model) for £1,700 from here..medium only though

also you can buy new for£2,500 so I would pay get the 09 or pay £300 more and have new...
Another great allrounder is this...at £2k a bargain and on par with the EX9 spec wise

I've just been through the same process and after demo's on both the Trek & Marin, I prefered the Marin and have just bought a MV 5.8 for £2k from my LBS.0
