  • Like my 3-year-old nephew, the media's attention span is too short, they never finish anything properly before moving onto the next brightly coloured spangly thing

They're all dead interested for a while, then they get a bit bored, get distracted by the shiny new piece of news, and completely forget about what they were doing before...

    :-)

The media also have an annoying habit of blowing everything massively out of proportion.
Everything's reported like it could bring about the collapse of modern civilisation.
Especially if you 'read' the Daily Mail :-)

You don't read the Daily Mail, you look at it, mouth open in shock whilst trying to comprehend some of the tosh that's published.

    You forgot swine flu.

And all known food and drink. It's either a superfood guaranteed to protect you from cancer and cardiovascular disease, or it's poisonous and will result in certain death. Or frequently both.

You daren't stop eating because you'll die of starvation.

Avian flu was lethal but fortunately less easy to transmit than originally feared because the temperature of the human body was too high (or was it too low - one or the other) for it to thrive.

    Which is nice.

...and did that nice Mr. Terry Waite ever get released :)

I found it a bit strange that he disappeared about the same time that Brian Blessed came to prominence...

    A punctured bicycle
    On a hillside desolate
