Which Grips for a weak hand?

Last year I had an off and bent my right thumb all the way back and dislocated it.
So now it's not quite right and I can only bend it forward (from the main knuckle that joins the hand, not the knuckle nearer the nail) 85% of the way, and it's stuck like that unless I have expensive surgery.
So what I have found is that on long decents I starts to ache and gets weaker after time, other than doing press ups to strengthen my arms (i've got some good exercises from the gym to do) what kind of grips are good for around the thumb or that area?
Thanks to all.

Maybe smaller diameter grips such as ODI Ruffians would help?0

Possibly these -
Ergon grips, they will support your hand more so you might be able to use your thumb less. And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

Foam or nitrile grips may help.0

A Friend had an off and broke the bones in the back of his hands, while he was recovering had similar issues, he used the Ergon grips and found they helped a lot.

Not Peaty ones - mine are killing my hand at the moment (I broke a bone 2 years ago), way too hard for me at the moment - esp because of the metal lock ends. So, I too am looking into those Ergo grips for my hardtail - think it may be the only answer for longer rides!
One thing for sure is, I'll be looking to avoid grips with metal lock ends - you might feel the same way!http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss9/ ... lurLT2.jpg

You could try the foam ones that Wilkinsons sell, not pretty, but thick and fairly resilient foam, they are dirt cheap to!
