New ride to compensate skills!

Quick question.

If i ride my size large x/c full suss bike for mainly gravity freeride stuff, i tend to weight the front wheel to much, If i was to switch to a size medium freeride bike, would this exagerate my forward stance or would it push me more over the rear wheel?

this is of course not taking into account any kind of skill level

Thanks

Paul

The slacker geometry of a Freeride bike will put your weight over the rear wheel more. XC bikes tend to have longer top tubes and steeper head angles giving you a more stretched out position.

Try swapping the stem out for a shorter one. XC bikes tend to come with scaffold bars as stems.
That will shift your weight rearwards quite noticeably.
As for the size of the frame, that's a tougher one to judge, it depends exactly how the smaller size is made smaller.
