I've got the DHB ones from Wiggle. £50, so not cheap, but good value apparently.

thats the thing about spds, the shoes are mental pricey even if you can get a bargain set of pedals.

ive got 2 sets of shimano spds somewhere and some shoes but i never could get on with them. i ground a load of the grip segments off of the sole of my shoes with a dremel to make engaging and dis-engaging easier, didnt help in the slightest and now i have some extra webbo spd shoes.
  • I have some 661 spd shoes from a while back but they're double velcro and a bit big.

Double velcro is a crap idea when you want a shoe to stick like glue to your foot, keep losing tightness which makes it feel awkward :(

You may as well make sure you like the whole SPD thing before you buy new ones though.

BTW, did you get any decent video at Cannock the other week?

I have a pair of Spesh Tahoe, full lace up with a velcro top strap to keep the laces tidy.

They're nearer £60 than £40 but I can thoroughly recommend them.

Sheeps and Northern M - what shoe size are you two? If there is a match I think I could see a bit of swap shop action coming on (well cash for goods)!

its funny, you are the northern monkey, i have feet like monkeys hands.

i reckon i could peel a banana with them if i didnt rate bananas as dick shaped food which people only eat because they like the shape and they should be eaten with a knife and fork, especially by women unless they want me to assume they are coming on to me.

you would have loved the guy in our office... he lasted about 3 weeks but was known as the "Banana Nosher".

He'd eat a banana the wrong way round... with the curve going up into the top of his mouth, holding it in one hand with his pinky finger out.

    everyday without fail.

not sure if he got fired or left because we all took the piss, but it was one of the oddest things i've seen.
