e.thirteen DRS

I'm going to be racing in the Endurance Downhill Event at Fort Bill this weekend. I'll stupidly be doing it on my 09 Specialized Enduro Comp with quite a few parts changed on it to hopefully help it cope a bit better!
I'm needing a bash and chain device.
I was looking at the e.thirteen DRS system:
http://www.descent-gear.com/index.php?s ... &prod=1415
my big is ISCG so it will fit that way. Do I just remove the biggest ring and the e.13 fits on there so that i'm running dual that way?
Or is it more complicated than that?
Cheers
Andrew

What sort of pace are you expecting? Reason I ask is that I didn't need a chain device on the Hemlock, it's rough but it's not so rough to make it essential, unless you're going faster than I did. Which will not be hardUncompromising extremist0

Not sure about what pace i'll be able to do! As fast as possible!
I was looking at my setup and thinking what willl be the first thing that is gonna let me down and it'll be chain slap/chain coming off so I wanted to get a chain device on there!
Also been wanting to swap to a dual and bash for a while as I hardly use my big ring and it takes a total beating off of rocks etc...0 -
I've been using a simple Blackspire Stinger for a while, and had no problems with it. Nice and simple, and it does the job.0

100 for that
£60 here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/E13-DRS-TWIN-RING-GUIDE-BASH-PLATE-/380182018132?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item58849d3854
you might want to get a 36t ring instead of the 32t which i presume you have.

if the chain is slack with the chain guide then you can shorten it a bit
good luck in the race0 -
