Hybrid but which tyres for some light off roading?

As above getting a Trek hybrid and it'll be on the main roads 90% of the time but would'nt mind taking it down some light off road tracks ( maybe a few bumps and pebbles ) nothing major with my missus on her bike, anyone recommend some good tyres as a good measure or will my Bontrager RaceLit Hardcase do the trick?

    for light off road use any tires should do, I've taken my roadie down wooded paths before now.
