can a 9 sp shimano 6500 chainset be used with the ten speed set up thats on my bike???????.

running 6500 shifters, rear mech, 10 sp chain and block.

    Are you sure about that? 6500 shifters are 9 speed and should be match with at 9 speed cassette.
