Boardman's helmet

Dirty jokes will be acknowledged and appreciated; however whilst watching Le Tour on the advert riddled ITV Mr Boardman was wearing what looks like a really nicely fitted helmet. Anyone got any idea what helm it was?

I'm checking through ITV Player's videos at the moment hoping for a shot I can save.

Possibly because it's his own product?

I'm sure Jamie Oliver got a warning from Ofcom when he used one of his own products on his tv show.

And the program is sponsored by Halfords...not by Boardman bikes. Unless Boardman is a Halfords owned brand, I wouldnt think the sponsorship is relevant.

They have them in my local Halfords and they're well priced from memory... also come with a box for transporting them in, like a large sunglasses case.

Is it just me or does Boardman "look" totaliy wrong on his bike? Don't ask me why.

Aye they do look quite good value, for Halfords. I currently have a Giro Monza and it's so uncomfortable. The thing sits on my head like a meercat scouting for danger... Hate it so much I have only ever worn it 5 times, but my Dad gave it me so I feel a little rotten because I hardly use it.

Is the gut Boardman's as well? The sight of him makes me feel much better about the amount of protective padding I'm carrying these days

He does look a little 'stocky' - but I think the odd camera angle is to blame as is the fact we've been watching scrawny blokes on bikes for the past 2 weeks.

The frame is a Boardman prototype, and I believe the jersey is Boardman too.

Last year he had to tape over the boardman decals too.

He should just leave it and argue that he has just put his name on the bike to stop it getting lost or stolen

I noticed that his bottom brackett was creaking the other day going up one of the climbs. Probably put together by a halfords mechanic

I think he looks funny on a bike on the TDF programme because he was going relatively slowly & talking to the camera - nothing else.

The bike is apparenly a prototype look forward to seeing that properly, and seeing some spanner monkey in halfords trying to set it up!
